How to Tie a Ribbon

On youtube I learned how to tie laces properly: instead of bunny
around the tree the bunny went backwards and through the hole
and it looked perfect, even and secure and did not come undone.
I followed this as I tied a pink ribbon around my lovie’s neck, he
said he couldn’t do it himself which was a lie. I held the ribbon
out bringing the ends together as he kept dog eyes looking up
but I pretended I was very focused on that knot until I had made
the most perfect bow pink and polite, the kind for a fourth place
white rabbit or large pumpkin at the county fair, the ones that
didn’t win blue. He wore it for the whole night, even to sleep!
