POST
POST Means a lot of things and the issue mines it for its puns. There is the POST-nut yearning of Lily Piette’s 11-page story Angel Pussy, by far the longest Currents contribution to ever be published; Caitlin Chung’s delish POST-rotisserie chicken soup recipe told through flickr POSTS, Terry Cooper Cole’s POST-it painting, work about the POST Office, POST Malone, Parking Meters, POST-mortems and POST-partems. We even have SPOTS, an accumulation by Amelia Jackson, and an anagram of POST.
Our design team, Elan Cohen, Olivia Ballentine, and Julia Petrocelli grinded their butts off elegantly and beauticiously to render thee content in form.Yes, the form. Images in grids. POSTED to the grid. Not the Modernist grid, we’re thinking about Instagram.
Marking POST history, this issue heralds the beginning of the Currents Instagram residency, highlighted by our interview with resident Julia Petrocelli. Julia’s durational film Time Is A Revelator played out over Instagram story POSTS in the month of October.
